lyrics
A life, blessed and divine, may never be mine
but oh what a feeling you just couldn't buy
Sound of all sounds!
Sight of all sights!
Come to the Fabulon!
Come see the lights!
High in the night, we delight everyone,
and all down the carnival midway they'll run
Pure as the fire,
as sure as our knives,
now for the moment,
the time of our lives
Sister Rosalia, child of the fair,
high wire, twist, a roll, a reel,
was lighter than air
How love kissed as though there was a lifetime to spare
Oh come, child of my child, come to the light,
tell me the tale of your day, of your night
And how we must burn like the stars just to light up the night
We must barter with fortune,
with all of our might,
the grace of the dancer,
the art of the mime,
for bread on the table and peace for a time
Sister Rosalia, child of the fair,
high wire, twist, a roll, a reel,
was lighter than air
How love kissed as though there was a lifetime to spare
Oh come, child of my child, come to the light,
tell me the tale of your day, of your night
A life and a world ago
Gentle and quiet as snow
all the old dreams, they will pass and will go,
the wish for the world,
for to never grow old,
the wish for the tale of all tales to be told
Sister Rosalia, child of the fair,
high wire, twist, a roll, a reel,
was lighter than air
How love kissed as though there was a lifetime to spare
Oh come, child of my child, come to the light,
tell me the tale of your day, of your night
oh come,
come to the Fabulon,
come see the lights!

Find a quiet spot, sit down, put on the headphones, and don't do anything else but listen to this album. Symptoms will include shivers, a rush of intense emotions, and the desire to see Kathryn Joseph live. No, YOU'RE weeping into your coffee, transfixed by this beautiful, heartrending music. A group that I know only too well, I’ve been with them for nearly 30 years; from their Glaswegian basement origins to their current status as Arena band. My enthusiasm for their later output may have tempered somewhat as the mighty ‘Gwai evolved their sound to avoid pigeonholing, but there is nothing better than when they lay waste to a venue via the sheer euphoria of ‘Helicon 1’. They’re still devastating live and, after all those years, THE authority in Instrumental Rock music. Logen Ninefingers
